Account Settings Panels
Head over to your mailbox settings panel. Links to both the “whu.email” & “westhamunited.email” accounts panels can be found above. Fill in your Username (that’s your email address).
Just fill in the first part of your address here. Take note of the preloaded second part of your email address. If your account is a “westhamunited.email” one then that is what will appear here in the Log In screen. Then fill in your temporary password. This was sent to your existing email address when signing up for your subscription.
This first thing you should do once in the settings panel is change the temporary password you were assigned when subscribing to the service. In here you will also see the “Email Client Configuration” settings. That is actually what we are covering here now so you don’t need to worry yourself over that section.
The next screen will present you with an option of either iMAP or POP. Without going into the intricaci
es of both flavours of email accounts let’s just say we recommend you use the IMAP system, (your account is both types). In short, with IMAP you can receive and read your email on multiple devices including laptops, smart phones, tablets, desktop computers etc more than once. You can even jump on a friends computer when out and about and check your email. With POP once an email is read it is removed from the servers and will not appear elsewhere. Most people recommend you use IMAP.
And there you have it. Your new personal West Ham United email account sitting pretty amongst all the other accounts on your device.
